Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Jillian Salisbury, a native of Scioto County, is the owner of Scioto Trail Animal Clinic. She graduated with her Bachelors in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Morehead State University in 2004. She received her Doctor of Veterinary medicine degree from The Ohio State University in 2008.

Dr. Salisbury is a single mother to her son Breyer and maintains a relationship with her former step-sons, Evan and Miller. She and her family has 1 dog, a Newfoundland named Clementine, and 2 cats, Wilbur and Khal. Dr. Salisbury started working at STAC in 2005 as a receptionist/vet assistant and continued working summers, holidays and weekends until she joined the practice as an associate vet in 2008. She purchased the clinic in 2012, making her dream of practice ownership a reality.

Jill’s special interests in veterinary medicine include ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. She says “I have looked forward to being able to be part of animals lives from the first puppy visit through old age. I have just reached the point in my career where the puppies I examined soon after I graduated are reaching geriatric ages and I am getting to help them and their owners navigate the challenges that come with old age. While I enjoy the challenge of a difficult case and seeing appointments whether sick or healthy, I think I am most comfortable in my surgery room. I love surgery."
